Meet Our Veterinarian, Dr. Keith Brown
Dr. Keith Brown’s undergraduate education was obtained from Otterbein College in Columbus, Ohio. He then attended The Ohio State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2001. After graduation, he completed an internship at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He then completed a three-year Residency program in Equine Surgery at Michigan State University.
Upon completion of his residency program he returned to work at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital from May of 2005 until July of 2006, at which time he moved back to Pennsylvania and started Brown Equine Hospital with his wife, Dr. Jennifer Brown in 2007.
Brown Equine Hospital is a emergency referral hospital that is staffed around the clock. Horses travel from all of the US and Canada to visit Dr. Brown. Brown Equine Hospital is highly recognized in the draft horse world for Upper Respiratory Surgery (Ventriculochorectomy).
Dr. Brown and his family have always owned and competitively competed draft horses, and are current draft horse owners. Dr. Brown, his father and three brothers are all life members of the Laurel Highlands Horse Pulling Association. He also has three children, a daughter and twin boys.
